Job Purpose

Lead the Vendor Management function overseeing relationships with key suppliers, contracts, and performance to ensure efficient and productive partnerships.

Functional Responsibilities

–Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and agreements.

–Monitor and assess supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and addressing issues.

–Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand vendor requirements and ensure alignment with company goals.

–Oversee contract negotiation, compliance, and management for a range of vendors.

–Develop and implement vendor management strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

–Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in vendor management activities.

–Lead efforts to optimize vendor relationships, reducing costs and improving service quality.

–Drive continuous improvement initiatives in vendor management processes.

–Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in vendor management to improve strategies.

Job Requirements

Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other relevant disciplines.
Work Experience*: 9 – 10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Leadership/Managerial Responsibilities

–Contribute to the development and achievement of the division/general department strategy and roadmap.

–Set the goals and objectives of the function and ensure cascading them to reporting employees, and guide their progress.

–Manage the development of the function’s policies, procedures and processes in alignment with Business Excellence Team.

–Manage the function’s budgeting cycle and monitor the utilization progress.

–Ensure the ongoing development and engagement of the function’s employees, and guide the development and learning activities of direct reports.

–Identify the human resources’ requirements of the function and provide recommendations regarding employee rewards, promotions, transfers and career progressions for the function’s employees.

–Conduct the performance appraisal of direct reports as part of the performance management process.
