Job Purpose

Collaborate with the Line Manager to support MATARAT's general ledger functions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Functional Responsibilities

–Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial records.

–Collaborate with the accounting team to verify the completeness and correctness of financial transactions.

–Support the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analysis related to the general ledger.

–Assist in reconciling and closing the general ledger accounts at the end of accounting periods.

–Maintain organized and efficient records of financial transactions within the general ledger.

–Provide support in resolving discrepancies, researching issues, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

–Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, financial regulations, and industry best practices related to the general ledger.

Job Requirements

Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other relevant disciplines.
Work Experience*: 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
