Job Purpose

Manage and ensure the implementation of IT governance frameworks and policies, oversee audits, address compliance issues, and promote a culture of governance and compliance within the organization

Position Accountability Description

Create and lead the execution of strategic plans for IT governance and quality initiatives, aligning with the organization’s overall objectives to enhance IT infrastructure reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Oversee daily IT governance and quality operations by supervising team activities, resolving issues related to IT policies and procedures, and ensuring adherence to governance frameworks to maintain smooth and effective departmental functioning.
Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT governance and quality to measure the effectiveness of governance practices, compliance with standards, and overall IT service quality, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
Design and implement a robust IT governance framework that aligns with organizational strategies and ensures effective management of IT resources and processes.
Establish and lead the adoption of quality standards and best practices across IT operations to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Ensure that IT governance and quality initiatives are integrated with business objectives and support the organization's long-term goals.
Oversee the implementation of IT governance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational requirements.
Develop and manage quality assurance processes to monitor, evaluate, and improve IT service delivery and project outcomes.
Identify and manage risks related to IT governance and quality, implementing mitigation strategies to address potential issues and ensure stability.
Implement continuous monitoring and assessment procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of IT governance and quality practices, ensuring timely identification and resolution of issues.
Optimize IT processes through automation and advanced tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in governance and quality management.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and industry standards related to IT governance and quality practices, making recommendations for process improvement.
Provide guidance and mentorship to the IT governance and quality team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the IT department.
Develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the IT governance and quality team, ensuring they are well-versed in the latest governance frameworks, compliance requirements, and quality management practices.
Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support team members to achieve their objectives, ensuring alignment with IT governance and quality goals.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education Background Bachelor’s degree: Information Technology or equivalent
Relevant Experience Minimum 8 years of total experience in IT management or a related field
Professional Licenses, Accreditations & Certifications

Preferred: Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)
