Job Purpose

The Head of Financial Excellence oversees the Financial Excellence division, ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of financial operations. This role focuses on implementing effective financial control processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and managing financial risks to support the organization’s strategic objectives.

Position Accountability Description

Financial Control and Compliance: 
1.Develop and implement comprehensive financial control strategies and methodologies to ensure robust financial management. 
2.Ensure strict adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies across all operations. 
3.Conduct regular financial audits and reviews to verify the accuracy and reliability of financial data and compliance with regulations. 
4.Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks by developing adequate risk management controls and processes. 

Operational Efficiency: 
5.Optimize financial processes and workflows by integrating advanced technologies and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy. 
6.Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, provide insights and recommendations for improvement, and oversee the preparation and review of financial statements for the three airports to ensure timely and accurate reporting. 
7.Implement process improvements to streamline financial operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity for the three airports. 

Team Leadership and Development: 
8.Lead, mentor, and develop the Financial Excellence team, setting clear performance goals and providing continuous feedback and support. 
9.Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and implement development programs to enhance team capabilities. 
10.Oversee the Controllership and Project Accounting teams, ensuring alignment with divisional objectives and organizational goals. 

Strategic Planning and Implementation: 
11.Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement strategic financial plans that align with the organization’s long-term objectives across all three airports. 
12.Participate in formulating corporate strategies, providing financial insights and support for decision-making processes.

Position Accountability Description

13.Ensure the alignment of divisional activities with the organization's strategic goals, driving initiatives that support business growth and sustainability. 
14.Lead the development and execution of financial strategies that enhance the organization's financial health and performance for all three airports (DMM, HOF, AQI). 

Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication: 
15.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and alignment with organizational goals. Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and the Board of Directors, providing clear insights. 
16.Engage with external stakeholders, such as auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions, to maintain compliance and address any financial issues or inquiries. 

Budgeting and Financial Planning: 
17.Oversee the development and implementation of the annual budget and financial planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. 
18.Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to ensure financial targets are met. 
19.Offer financial forecasts and scenario analyses for strategic planning and decision-making. Ensure timely and accurate financial data availability for budgeting and planning activities. 

Financial Reporting and Analysis: 
20.Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and standards, providing accurate and timely financial information for the three airports to stakeholders. 
21.Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing insights to support strategic decision-making. 
22.Develop and maintain financial reporting systems and tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of financial reporting processes. 

Continuous Improvement: 
23.Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Financial Controllership division. 
24.Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance financial operations. 
25.Monitor industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education Background Bachelor’s degree: Finance, or equivalent
Relevant Experience  Minimum 12 years of experience in controllership or related roles, including 5 years in a senior manager position.
Professional Licenses, Accreditations & Certifications Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Language Arabic, English
