Job Purpose

The Aeronautical Business Development General Manager is responsible for identifying, optimizing, and growing aeronautical business opportunities to maximize revenue generation potential in alignment with the overall Dammam Airports strategy. This role involves strategic planning, stakeholder management, and leading a high-performing team to achieve commercial objectives.

Position Accountability Description

1. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute aeronautical business plans that align with Dammam Airports’s overall objectives and growth targets.
2. Aviation Sales: Identify and secure new opportunities for airline customers and cargo carriers, focusing on new routes, increased frequencies, and aircraft upgrading.
3. Market Analysis: Analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and global developments to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
4. Stakeholder Engagement: Strengthen relationships with airlines, cargo operators, and general aviation stakeholders to foster collaboration and business growth.
5. Industry Representation: Lead participation in regional and global Routes Conferences to promote the airport’s offerings and attract new carriers.
6. Capacity Negotiation: Engage with airlines to increase fleet allocation and seat capacity at KFIA through the negotiation of favorable terms.
7. Marketing & Communication: Oversee aeronautical marketing plans in coordination with Commercial Business Intelligence to promote network expansion.
8. Network Coordination: Ensure effective alignment between airline network plans, traffic forecasts, and actual airport capacity.
9. Route Performance: Monitor and assess the performance of current routes, implementing improvements to optimize service quality and revenue.
10. Financial Oversight: Manage the division’s budget and implement cost-saving measures to ensure the efficient use of organizational resources.
