Job Purpose

The Aerodrome Systems Maintenance Team is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and inspecting all aerodrome systems, PBBs, VDGS, AGL, and lighting systems, to ensure safe and efficient operations. The team works collaboratively to perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks, adhering to regulatory standards and organizational policies. Their efforts support the seamless operation of aerodrome systems, contributing to overall aerodrome safety and functionality.

Position Accountability Description

Operational Excellence: 
1.Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of navigation aids, PBBs, VDGS, AGL, and lighting systems to ensure they meet operational standards. 
2.Perform emergency repairs promptly to minimize operational disruptions and ensure safety. 
3.Implement and adhere to maintenance schedules, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to the required standards. 
4.Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, documenting all work performed and any issues encountered. 
5.Monitor the condition of aerodrome systems and report any issues or potential hazards to the Senior Manager for timely resolution. 
6.Use maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively, following all safety protocols. 
7.Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions to stay prepared for emergency situations. 

Resource Optimization: 
8.Utilize maintenance resources efficiently, minimizing waste and maximizing productivity. 
9.Assist in monitoring expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities in maintenance activities. 
10.Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring they are available and in good condition when needed.

Position Accountability Description

Safety and Compliance: 
11.Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. 
12.Ensure compliance with local, national, and international aviation regulations and standards in all maintenance activities. 
13.Report safety concerns and incidents promptly to the Senior Manager, contributing to a proactive safety culture. 
14.Assist in the development and implementation of safety management systems (SMS) to enhance operational safety. 

Stakeholder Collaboration: 
15.Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure effective maintenance operations. 
16.Support positive relationships with stakeholders by providing accurate information and timely updates on maintenance activities. 

Continuous Improvement: 
17.Analyze maintenance processes and identify areas for improvement, recommending and implementing best practices. 
18.Participate in the development and testing of new maintenance technologies and methodologies. 
19.Provide feedback on maintenance procedures and tools to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Job Requirements

Education Background Bachelor’s degree: Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Relevant Experience  Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in aerodrome maintenance, or a related field.
Professional Licenses, Accreditations & Certifications Preferred:  NFPA Certification or similar certification
Languages Arabic, English
